Complete Your Circle

"Love is like a circle, not a heart. A heart can be broken, but a circle can go on forever." Emery Hurst

I suffer from chronic pain. At times I’m stagnant, like a dark spot in a fresh pool of water, but at the best times, I’m the living water. I’m grateful for every minute and loving it, ready to experience another surprise and make the most of the opportunity I’ve been given.

At least, I have the potential to stay that way.

What does it mean to be completely committed, fully in sync with the human purpose? I want to be woven into God’s fabric of creation with my full being, bonded and steadfast, sure and true, but I keep screwing up.

“Just don’t give up,” all the winners say. “Eventually you will find your true calling and be fulfilled.”

Do you ever just have those moments like I do when you wonder if any of it is true at all? Can anyone even make a difference anymore in a world so jaded, or does it all just go straight to hell?

Getting knocked down can do that do you, but if we want to survive, we get back up and try again. Those who get back up must believe they have a purpose worth living for.

How do we get in Sync?

We wind up an internal clock with our minds, listening to the sounds the generator of life spills out upon us and move forward with the hands of time, functioning as a minute vibration in the wheel of time. We are a part of this moving miracle, but we are more than a human machine.

We choose what we see, hear, believe, learn and do. At times we sync up with the great Spirit of this life, and we feel “at One”. We know we are on the right track and will find whatever it is we are looking for with confidence and faith as we walk in the Spirit.

A Simple Purpose is OK

Through my struggles with spine and nerve damage, I have learned sometimes just doing anything purposeful, no matter how simple, can pep me up and add a little joy to my life.

A circle is like that, simple, but still can reflect purpose.

"In the Circle we are all equal. When in the Circle, No one is in front of you. No one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity." Lakota wisdom

If God is the circle, the center and the space inside and out, and we are the key to knowing God's purpose for us, then we have everything we need to know in life. Knowing God is loving life and that brings a more full and rich experience. The moving parts participate with heartfelt motion, reflecting a unique version of life using the tools available.

It is a real joy to know we can learn how to use the tools that will help us do something we can put our whole hearts into and enjoy throughout life.

Is that the greater purpose everyone talks about?

What if we learn as we go along, and it doesn’t have to be complicated at all?

Create a Circle

If your first circle is wobbly or your second circle is kind of oblong, it will get better on the third try, right? You tried. You made it through a cycle on the wheel of time and created a circle. The beauty is in the imperfection. When you try you give, you connect, you feed the flames of life.

Is the cycle of creation more about becoming integrated to God, the Spirit and Creator of this life, than we have been led to believe? Will we only know our true purpose when we begin to be integrated into that living and conscious water that fills everything that lives?

I think so. I don’t think I’ll wait until I become holy to get started. That may never happen. I think I’ll just get started drawing my circle now.
